Community driven, Culturally Centred

Giving a child the best opportunity to reach their full potential in life is the greatest gift. When a whole community comes together to make that opportunity a reality for every child, great change can be achieved.

Kwaba Bidi is an Aboriginal community driven program and is part of South West Aboriginal  Medical Service (SWAMS) in Western Australia’s South West, who service and empower the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community who live and work on Wadandi Country.

Foster carers are needed

Is there space in your life to make a difference in the life of a child or young person?
Becoming a foster carer can be a life-changing experience for both you and the child in your care. Opening your home to a child can make a positive difference in their life, by offering something many of us take for granted...
... a safe home and culturally appropriate caring environment where they can thrive.

Becoming a Foster Family

If you choose to become a Foster Carer with our service, you won’t be working alone in your journey. We strongly believe that every child should be provided with a safe, nurturing and positive environment where they are comfortable with themselves, feel culturally safe and supported by the carer.

Being a Foster Family is one of the most challenging yet rewarding things you’ll ever do.  We work collaboratively with you to ensure the best outcomes for the foster child and their foster family.
